Community Solar, Battery and EV Charger Buying Scheme for Kemble and Ewen

Having solar panels on your house, or garden reduces your carbon emissions and saves you money on your electricity bills.

The scheme is run by volunteers (Community Energy Champions) here at Thames Head Energy – a community social enterprise. We have selected Cotswold Energy as our supplier for solar panels/battery/EV chargers which we believe provide competitive prices, good quality products and high-quality installation and negotiate a discounted deal for the benefit of the community. See the announcement. Thames Head Energy’s community team make no money from this, it’s purely a community social enterprise initiative.

For more details about the scheme see the ordering and information page. While this is currently for Somerford Keynes, Shorncote and Lower Mill Estate, we expect the scheme for Kemble and Ewen to be the same.

We are currently in the final stages of bringing the scheme to Kemble and Ewen with the help of Kemble residents Julie Hammerton and Parish Councillor George Hilliar. More details will be sent to homes soon and a community event organised.
